These are working demos with made-up data for Shree Ganesh Traders. The party has three statements in the import (HDFC, SBI and ICICI). It also has a Kotak OD account that is only in its Miracle books. Each demo has the same six transfers: two paired by a shared reference, one possible pair, one split transfer, one already in Miracle and one that Miracle books against the wrong ledger. One more transfer is not suggested, so you must pair it yourself. Try each demo with the keyboard and with the mouse.
Each transfer keeps money out on the left and money in on the right. Transfers already recorded correctly in Miracle are hidden and are not exported again. A transfer booked against the wrong ledger stays here because it needs a correction.
Small Yes, transfer and Not a transfer buttons are stacked on the right. They stay centered, with padding around them and a gap between them. They stay compact when a card grows. Bank names appear with their entries, without a repeated label above them. A decided card shrinks to one line with Undo. Double-click compares statement entries. Alt+click opens the actual source PDFs. Both views show a pair side by side, or one on the left and two stacked on the right for a split. Lines connect the matched entries, or their highlighted locations in the PDF pages.
The step asks one plain question per transfer, like “Did ₹75,000.00 move from SBI to ICICI?”. Below it, each side shows a few rows of its statement (or of the Miracle ledger) around the entry, so you can judge without opening the PDF. The voucher the export would make is next to the clues.
Pairs with a shared reference are never asked. At the end, a summary lists every answer, and you can change any of them.
Money out on the left, money in on the right, from every bank and from the Miracle books. Lines join each suggested transfer: amber dashes are suggestions and green is saved. The bar at the bottom explains the entry you are on.
To pair by hand, pick an entry with Space. The other side then shows only the entries that fit, with a running total for split transfers. Try the ₹25,000.00 HDFC cheque: two credits fit, so the app did not guess.
| A · Transfer cards | B · One at a time | C · Match board | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | A normal import: a few transfers of mixed kinds | Many transfers; fast checking with full attention on each | Pairing by hand and split transfers |
| See everything at once | Yes | No, only in the summary at the end | Yes, but it gets busy with 30+ entries |
| Context to decide | Both entries, without the extra footer | Most: statement rows around each entry | Entry and clues in the bar |
| Pair by hand | Small finder below the cards | Not in the flow (needs A's finder or C) | Built in: pick, see what fits, pair |
| Keys per transfer | 1 (Enter or N) | 1 (Y or N) | 1 for a suggestion; 3 or 4 by hand |
| Work to build | Medium: replaces the table in contra-review.tsx | Medium: new flow, plus the summary | Large: two lists, lines and multi-pick |
A for the Contra step, with C's “pick, see what fits, pair” as the way to pair by hand. The revised A keeps both sides of each transfer, removes the clue chips and export preview, and stacks compact decision buttons on the right, with padding and space between them. C's picking replaces the Alt+C dialog when you press “Missing a transfer?” or Alt+C. B is good, but it hides the full list. Use it only if imports often have more than about 15 transfers to check.
